We are a husband and wife team that have spent over 40 years of our adult lives giving….
Children’s Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Bowling Leagues, Church groups and Organizations.
We’ve also been on the receiving end of our family and friends’ fundraising efforts, buying endless gift wrap, popcorn, candy and balloons…
In all of it we started to notice a trend. Up to 95% of the money that we all give ends up going to the administration, shipping, and overhead of these large companies sponsoring your fundraising efforts. Along the way, fundraising became a business. And that business takes away from the intended target.
We now have several grandchildren involved in organized sports. We were appalled to see just how much of the money we all give actually goes to the administration, and not the charity you are donating to.
We decided to change that.
We own a successful web design business in Murrieta, California, MET Web Solutions. The tools to offer fundraising options are already at our fingertips. Therefore, our administrative costs are very low for Achieve Our Goals. Yes, we have credit card processing fees, and yes it costs money to host and maintain the website. Other than that, this is not a profit center for us, and the end result is to offer you fundraising options at a much lower cost that the programs you are currently using.
Last, in today’s world, the last thing we want to see is our kids going door to door or standing at the door of a supermarket soliciting donations. It’s just not safe. With our program, there is no face to face, and your reach is from the East Coast to the West Coast. And everything in between.
